The Indian exporters' association Carpet Export Promotion Council (CEPC), organiser of the India Carpet Expo in Varanasi and Delhi, is moving its trade fair events to the Internet due to Corona: A virtual carpet fair for international buyers is to take place from 21 to 25 August. According to CEPC Chairman Siddh Nath Singh, over 400 international visitors normally attend the ICE; the announcement of the virtual event has now been received extremely positively. Virtual shows in the target markets Australia, Chile, Europe and the USA are also planned.
Participants will be able to log in to the trade fair via PC and mobile devices (IOS and Android); an interactive technology will enable 3D experiences.
These are the possibilities on the virtual ICE:
– "matchmaking" between suppliers and buyers, supported by artificial intelligence,
– company and product videos,
– video conferencing and chats,
– private meeting rooms, personalised schedules and support via mobile app,
– detailed product descriptions,
– web seminars.
The online platform is strictly secured so that all data is only visible to buyers and exhibitors who participate in the chats and conferences.
